Preparing to useRegistration at the Megabrowser serverThe first action Megabrowser performs after it starts is to try to connect to the Megabrowser server. This notifies the dynamic DNS that you are online. Megabrowser will then automatically load the simple login registration page. To register select a UserID and complete the basic information. Then click submit (fig 2.). After you successfully complete this step you will be immediately connected. Figure 2. First start of Megabrowser. Default personality. Registration form.
To inform you about your current online
status there is a big traffic light next to the connection button in the service
bar. The button has three states
– Offline, Connecting, and Online
(fig.2.). The traffic light also displays your status as Red (offline), Yellow
(trying to connect), Green (online). As
we mentioned earlier, your Megabrowser starts connecting as soon as it is
started and normally goes online automatically in just a few seconds so your
traffic light should be green. You can change your user name and password any time by accessing Megabrowser User Properties dialog (fig 3.) accessible from the Main Menu->Options drop down menu. Figure 3. User Properties dialog.
Note: If you do not register as a user, each time you use MegaBrowser the registration page (fig 2) will be loaded prompting you to do so. Even if you don’t plan to host your own sites, there are many advantages of becoming a registered user. For example, going online enables you to use Megabrowser’s short domain names to access and view Megabrowser sites. Numerical ID (NID) This number is
assigned by the Megabrowser network. There
is no need for you to change it.
The Megabrowser User Properties dialog provides you with tree options for your network configuration:
